You are invited to join CPRE North Worcestershire and Barnt Green Waters on Saturday 3rd October to mark the 60th anniversary of the Green Belt, which has been effective in combating urban sprawl. With a Green Belt review expected soon it is timely to recognise its importance.
All groups need a steady influx of new members to provide their long-term continuity and, in some cases, survival. Whichever District you are in, please consider giving your representative a call if you think you have the time and enthusiasm to help.
CPRE membership forms for individuals, parish councils and organisations.
Unlike many environmental charities, CPRE has no vested interests – we own no land, rely solely on donations and grants, and are politically independent. We make decisions with the head not the heart, as much as we love the countryside, and we are possibly the only green group which has a completely holistic approach. Planning, in particular, is all about looking at the bigger picture, and our wide remit means we have to consider the whole of the country – rural and urban – when creating policy.
